A Federal High Court in Lagos granted Lotus Bank Limited an order allowing him to take possession of all moveable and real estate assets owned by Unpacked Limited. It is a company owned by Oluwafeyikemi Abudu and guaranteed by Oluwafemi Badewole.

Lotus Bank Limited lawyer Adedoyin-Adetunji a declared to the court that the claim was filed in accordance with article 6 (6) of the 1999 Constitution, in articles 554 and 556 of the Law on corporations and related matters of 2020 (as amended) and under the inherent jurisdiction of the court.

In the request, Lotus Bank sought an interim injunction banning 27 institutions financial institutions, including Guaranty Trust Bank Limited, access Bank PIC, Citi Bank Nigeria Limited, Ecobank Nigeria Plc ; line-height: 107%; font-family: "Bookman Old Style”, serif; mso-ansi-language:en-us">, Fidelity Bank Plc ; line-height: 107%; font-family: "Bookman Old Style”, serif; mso-ansi-language:en-us">, First Bank Of Nigeria Limited , First City Monument Bank Plc mso-ansi-language:en-us">, Globus Bank, heritage Bank Limited line-height: 107%; font-family: "Bookman Old Style”, serif; mso-ansi-language:en-us">, Jaiz Bank line-height: 107%; font-family: "Bookman Old Style”, serif; mso-ansi-language:en-us">, keystone Bank Limited line-height: 107%; font-family: "Bookman Old Style”, serif; mso-ansi-language:en-us">, Opay Digital Services Limited , Palmpay Nigeria, Paystack ; mso-ansi-language:en-us">, Piggyvest, Momo Agent, polaris Bank Limited , Providus Bank, Stanbic-iBTC Bank Nigeria Limited, Standard Chartered Bank, Sterling Bank Plc ; line-height: 107%; font-family: "Bookman Old Style”, serif; mso-ansi-language:en-us">, Suntrust Bank Limited, Union Bank of Nigeria Pic, United Bank For Africa Plc , Unity Bank Plc ; line-height: 107%; font-family: "Bookman Old Style”, serif; mso-ansi-language:en-us">, Wema Bank Plc ; line-height: 107%; font-family: "Bookman Old Style”, serif; mso-ansi-language:en-us">and Zenith Bank Plc ; line-height: 107%; font-family: "Bookman Old Style”, serif; mso-ansi-language:en-us">and all other financial institutions operating in Nigeria, to release or negotiate funds related to Unpacked Limited and its guarantors.

The bank claimed that the defendants owed 532 691,920.86 N, which is the unpaid sum of an Ijara Muntaluya Bittamleek facility (rental-sale) granted to the company and guaranteed by Badewole.

Lotus Bank Limited has also been authorized to take control of the company's funds held in various institutions finances across Nigeria.
