Franco-Beninese Roland Riboux, CEO of the subsidiary, Fludor Benin, a founding member of the Association of Oilseed Industry Manufacturers of the West African Economic and Monetary Union (AIFO-UEMOA) and President of the Council of Private Investors in Benin (CIPB) has succeeded in establishing a public dialogue -private, through the consultation framework with the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Justice and soon a new consultation framework with the Electricity Regulatory Authority (ARE).
To date, the CIPB has been able to achieve the objectives that were set when it was created. Even if it is a process that will never stop, the businessman reassures that the objective of dialogue and obtaining certain important points for companies has been achieved. "For the defense of companies, we have set up working groups which put forward ideas that we submit to those who are entitled", he specified.

In 2020, the Council of Private Investors took an interest in the health crisis. To this end, several initiatives have been taken to raise public awareness, especially on barrier gestures. Among the actions carried out by the CIPB last year, Roland Riboux highlights the flagship initiatives on the opportunities offered by the digital sector.
The major challenges of Fludor Benin SA

Fludor Benin SA, specializing in the production of edible oil, the production of food-grade shea butter and the shelling of cashew nuts, aims to achieve record performance in the months to come. “At the moment we are in the process of increasing production very significantly. We aim to process 150,000 tons of cottonseed next year. It is a challenge and we hope that the Society for the Development of Cotton (SODECO) of Benin will be able to respond by providing us with the raw material on time,” he said.

Looking in the rearview mirror, the guest of the Economist Club pointed out that, in terms of its oil production plant, the quantities of the raw material which is cotton is available, the price has improved , but difficulties remain. "We note a shortage of containers which disrupts the transport of the finished product", he will say. With regard to the shea component, the factory processed and sold 15,000 tons last year. However, Roland Riboux notes the dilapidation of the trees which encroaches on the quality of the nuts. According to him, the cashew component is the most delicate and requires the support of the State.
