Orange Digital Center of Abidjan-Plateau hosted on July 15, 2021, the 5th edition of Orange business live. An opportunity for panelists to discuss the importance of connectivity strategies and different African initiatives for the implementation of high-speed internet.

Placed under the theme "The social and economic impact of broadband internet", this 5th edition of Orange Business Live was an opportunity to highlight the different means of connectivity, the digital economy and initiatives. Habib Bamba, Director of Digital and Media Transformation, pointed out that unlike in previous years, it is easier to download a file today. "Digital adoption is growing in Africa. In the 90s, to download a 1GB video, you had to wait for 3 minutes. Today, it only takes 16 seconds to download a large capacity file," he said. On the issue of broadband internet in terms of good governance, Anne-Rachel Inné, Executive Director of Government and Political Affairs at the American (Arin), focused on the different strategies of broadband connectivity in different types of governance. "We absolutely need to be able to connect universities so that our students can finally benefit from connectivity and distance learning," she says.
