The financial institution, PostBank Uganda Limited seals a partnership with UnionPay International to boost financial inclusion in Uganda.

The financial institution 100% owned by the Ugandan state recently signed a partnership with UnionPay International. This agreement offers the bank's customers the possibility of carrying out transactions at Union Pay merchant outlets in Uganda. UnionPay postcard holders can transact at over 3,000 merchant locations in Uganda.
According to UnionPay International's Managing Director for Africa, Luping Zhang, the Post Bank has become one of the entities through which it would seek to expand its financial services business in the Africa region.
Julius Kakeeto, Managing Director of the Postal Bank, said on his part that it has become imperative that more Ugandans have access to financial services with reduced costs of bank charges.
