Making life easier for millions of smallholder farmers in sub-Saharan Africa. This is the aim of the Mastercard-Ecobank partnership. Farm Pass, Mastercard's digital platform, makes it easier for farmers to sell their products, and at the right price. For Ecobank, on behalf of the partnership, it will therefore be necessary for Ecobank to extend the coverage of Mastercard's Farm Pass platform by relying on its pan-African banking network in 33 countries. At the same time, operators have the option of compiling a file to obtain formal credits or access other services from financial institutions. Already in 2014, the same partnership allowed banking group customers to benefit from MasterCard payment solutions in 28 African countries.
