The Centre's Regional Director of Taxes announces a special tax census operation on property income tax (IRF). This initiative, which starts on 23 March for the year 2021, targets landlords of built or unbuilt buildings, all tenants and sub-tenants of the municipality of Ouagadougou and surrounding areas.

The Regional Director invites any lessor, tenant and sub-tenant who is not up to date with his tax obligations, in particular with regard to the registration of lease contracts, the payment of the IRF and the declaration of existence (registration with the IFU number) to take all the necessary measures to comply with the tax provisions.

The data collected will enable the Centre's Regional Tax Directorate to have an exhaustive and up-to-date file of landlords and tenants, to have regular lease contracts drawn up for all identified tenants, to renew expired lease contracts and to increase the level of recovery of the IRF.
