The Gnidéhoué Foundation has initiated an eco-kathon on the central theme of “Waste economy”, called “Ecolo4Dev”. This initiative aims to encourage young people to create innovative mobile applications that can facilitate eco-responsible waste management.

“Ecolo4Dev” aims to encourage the creation and development of innovative and accessible mobile solutions for the digital uses of citizens, regardless of their intellectual level and the city in which they reside. This initiative will also make it possible to support municipalities in the eco-responsible management of waste produced on their territories, will contribute to the development of a circular economy around the recycling, repair or reuse of certain household waste.
The president of the foundation, Christelle Gnidéhoué, indicates that teams made up of five or seven young people of different profiles will compete to create innovative mobile applications on two themes. In this dynamic, the solutions should be replicable in any sub-Saharan country with the same specificities.
