Find all the economic and financial information on our Orishas Direct application to download on Play StoreOn Thursday, March 9, 2023, the Higher Authority for State Control and Anti-Corruption informed that more than 15 billion FCFA worth of financial irregularities had been detected in the financial and accounting management of P&R Presidency of Faso, the Prime Minister and the National Assembly.
The comptroller general of the Supreme State Control and Anti-Corruption Authority (ASCE-LC), Philippe Néri Kouthon Nion announced that “the general objective of the audit was to ensure the proper management of financial and accounting resources of the public structures concerned.” According to the Comptroller General, the aim was to conduct a thorough check on public procurement, deposit accounts, imprest accounts, fuel, mission expenses, travel expenses, remuneration and donations for the benefit of politically exposed persons (PEPs).
Philippe Néri Kouthon Nion reported the results of the audit, financial and accounting management of the departments of the Presidency of Faso, the Prime Minister, and the National Assembly. According to him, “with regard to the environment of each structure, other specific objectives have been defined in collaboration with the supervisor in order to better identify the specific areas of the different structures.”
