In Senegal, the Public Procurement Regulatory Authority (Arcop) inaugurated the Appel-pour Achats Publics platform on Tuesday 14 October in electronic procedures. From now on, the president or the prime minister will be able monitor all markets in real time public authorities, an advance in terms of transparency in public management.

Senegal is launching a digital platform dedicated to management of public contracts. Carried by the Order Regulatory Authority public (ARCOP), the platform was inaugurated on 14 October last. Developed locally by Senegalese engineers, APPEL integrates advanced features such as electronic signature, encryption data and timestamp. These tools guarantee the security of exchanges between the various actors in the public procurement process.

But beyond technology, it's a new era of transparency that opens up for the management of public resources. Thanks to APPEL, the authorities, including the President of the Republic and the Prime Minister Minister, can now follow all the stages of the contracts in real time public: from tenders to the final award, including the publication of the results.

This project is part of the ambitious strategy of the Technological New Deal, a national plan that aims to digitize 90% of public services by 2034. Recognized by international institutions such as the World Bank and the African Development Bank, this sheet of Route reflects the will of the new authorities, under the presidency of Bassirou Diomaye Faye, to strengthen governance and to fight against bribery.
