In Côte d'Ivoire, the Senate has been completely cleared in the case of fraud on tax exemption vouchers for senators. At the end of the trial, Al Moustapha was sentenced to five years in prison.

The trial that took place Thursday, August 4, 2022 cleared the upper house of parliament in the case of fraud on tax exemption vouchers for senators. The main defendant, Touré Aladji Moussa Moustapha was sentenced to five years in prison and fined two hundred million CFA francs. He was found guilty of charges of forgery and use of forgeries committed in administrative documents; fraud involving cash and money laundering.

He was also sentenced to five years' deprivation of civic rights; a three-year ban on issuing checks; and the confiscation of the accounts of the company Afrique Transit, of which the defendant is a member.He was also ordered to forfeit the accounts of the company Afrique Transit, of which he is the general manager, and to forfeit all assets generated by the criminal acts for which he was convicted. In addition, he must pay a symbolic franc to the Senate and eighteen (18) million to Kourouma Daouda, who is authorized to act as a civil party in the same way as the upper house of Parliament.
