Currencies are showing an astonishing general status quo. The Forex chart shows that no spread exceeds 0.1% on major currency pairs.

Apart from the Yen, which weakened by -0.5% against the $ and -0.4% against the Euro, no difference exceeded 0.1% on the main currency pairs. The Euro crumbles by -0.1% towards 1.207/$, the other deviations from the greenback are not even measurable (pound, Swiss franc, Canadian dollar).

Nevertheless, the Conference Board's consumer confidence index jumped more than 12pts, from 109 to 121.7. The Case Shiller index of real estate activity came out at +12% (against +11.7% expected), again, clearly accelerating like the entire real estate sector since June 2020.
