The British Minister of State for Development and Africa, Baroness Jenny Chapman indicated that the United Kingdom will host the 17th pledging session next December for the replenishment of the resources of the African Development Fund (ADF).

The 17th announcement session contributions for the replenishment of ADF resources will bring together at London: development partners in order to agree on commitments financial resources for the 2026-2028 cycle of the Fund. It will mark a key step in the strengthening of international solidarity in favor of African countries in low income. Baroness Chapman affirmed the United Kingdom's intention to commit “strongly” while urging partners to adopt “ambitious” contributions. The latter also indicated that “this Reconstitution is an opportunity to reaffirm our collective commitment by promoting the development of Africa, its institutions and solutions innovative in a demanding global environment.”
