The African Development Bank (AfDB) has approved on Tuesday, December 2, 2025 in favor of Cape Verde, a budget support of 17.7 million euros. The AfDB plans to support a governance program electronic and a reform of public financial management. Information was announced by the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, Olavo Correia, through her social networks.

The program aims to contribute to growth economic by accelerating the consolidation of ongoing reforms. The objective is to improve the provision of public services, the competitiveness of the economy and the effectiveness of the management of public resources. The program includes a series of measures to stimulate digital competitiveness, in particular through the improvement of technological infrastructures, the generalization of online services and the promotion of an environment conducive to innovation and to digital investments.

This funding is part of the national strategy of digital transformation and aims to accelerate the modernization of public administration, to improve the quality and accessibility of services for citizens, as well as to enhance the effectiveness of public institutions.
