From January to February 2020, the  Directorate General of the Treasury and Public Accounting (Dgtcp) mobilized more than 121 billion CFA francs, on the financial market of the West African Economic and Monetary Union (WAEMU), for its Tpci 5.80% bond, 2019-2026. The first listing took place on Friday, March 6, on the Regional Stock Exchange (Brvm).

This issue represents a rate of 12.09% on all the 1001.5 billion CFA francs to be mobilized  on the financial market. "It was announced for this year, a financing need on the financial markets of 1494.4 billion CFA francs including 1001.5 billion on the regional financial market. (…) Thanks to your interest noticed by your issues, we were able to mobilize at the end of February 121.175 billion CFA francs on the annual object, i.e. a completion rate of 8.11%" also explained the Deputy Director General of the Treasury,   Bafétégué Sanogo.

For him, this issue, which is part of the policy of diversification of financial instruments for the mobilization of resources necessary to finance the budget, shows not only investor confidence, but also the good prospects for the country's economic development.

"In terms of resource mobilization, we will focus on attracting new resources such as diaspora funds but also resources that still escape the formal financial system through better inclusion of our populations in capital markets," for his part, said the director  of the national branch of Brvm-Côte d'Ivoire, Philippe Brizoua.
