The West African Development Bank (BOAD) and the National Council of Employers of Burkina Faso (CNPB) organized a business breakfast for private operators of country. The meeting took place on July 6, 2022.

The business breakfast was attended by Hubert MILLOGO, President of the Statutory Committee, representing the President of CNPB, Bianca DE OLIVEIRA ADOVELANDE, Head of the Mission of France Resident of the BOAD in Burkina Faso, as well as Almamy MBENGUE, Director of the Country Development Department, and Oumar TEMBELY, Director of the Bank's Energy and Natural Resources Department. Several CNP members as well as private economic operators, active in Burkina Faso, were also present.

The meeting held at the LANCASTER Hotel (Ouagadougou) created a framework for exchanges between BOAD and CNPB members to raise awareness about the Bank, its mechanisms and offers funding to private sector actors; promote their access to financing solutions; identify prospects with projects looking for funding in connection with the five (5) priority sectors of the Djoliba Plan, which are: transport/ICT/digitalization, energy, agriculture and agri-food, health/education, and real estate.

According to the Head of the Resident Mission of BOAD in BURKINA FASO, the holding of this meeting is fully in line with the implementation of its five-year Djoliba Plan, which proposes a set of int& solutions managed to address the financing needs of the private sector and to contribute to its development. The institution therefore reaffirms its willingness to strengthen its action in favour of the economies of the UEMOA zone.
