On Monday, December 1, 2025, the Council Board of Directors of the African Development Bank Group approved Abidjan, a 25 million euros trade finance facility in in favor of Crédit Communautaire d'Afrique-Bank (CCA-Bank) of Cameroon.

LA Bank African Development plans to improve its offer trade finance for the benefit of small and medium-sized enterprises and other businesses. According to Lamin Drammeh, head of the division of trade finance at the Bank Group, “the facility will support the Cameroonian economy by facilitating the importation of equipment related to industrial, agro-industrial and telecommunications sectors. Elle will also allow the Bank African Development to provide up to 100% of guarantee to confirming banks, in order to facilitate the confirmation of letters of credit and other similar trade finance instruments issued by CCA-Bank for the benefit of small and medium-sized businesses in Cameroon”.

For the managing director from the Central Africa region to the Bank, Léandre Bassolé, the operation was in line with with the institution's ambition to increase its direct interventions by favor of the private sector in Cameroon. He indicates that the operation “will strengthen CCA-Bank's ability to support small and medium-sized businesses businesses, including businesses owned by women and young people, to stimulate the local productive sector, facilitate economic growth as well as the creation and maintenance of thousands of jobs.”
