On the occasion of the presentation of the new strategy of the Agency for the Development and Management of Small Businesses and medium-sized enterprises (Adepme) this Thursday, September 11, Keiko Miwa, director of World Bank division for Senegal, delivered a speech landmark, reaffirming the institution's commitment to supporting transformation Economic of Senegal through Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (Mpme)

This financial support aims to strengthen the Programme to Accelerate Competitiveness and Employment (PACE) of Government of Senegal. It will broaden the scope of the program in four key result areas: competitiveness, adoption of innovative technologies, access to finance and the promotion of private investment.

Funding will also support reforms related to industrialization planning, improvement of the business climate and the promotion of innovation, by putting especially the focus on businesses run by women as well as on smart technologies adapted to climate challenges.

As part of the Vision 2050 in Senegal, this program aims to position the private sector as an essential engine for growth and job creation.

“This funding reflects the commitment of the World Bank to support Senegal's efforts to advance the private sector, especially micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs), and create more jobs,” said Keiko Miwa, director of division of the World Bank for Senegal.
