The Committee on Finance and Budgetary Control announced that the budget of the Ministry of Fisheries and Maritime Economy is at 32,546,528,804 FCFA for the year 2026, against 40,039,641,597 FCFA in 2025.

“The Department's 2026 draft budget of Fisheries and Maritime Economy amounted to 32 885 939 729 FCFA in commitment authorizations (AE). Payment credits (CP) are stopped at 32 546 528 804 FCFA against 40 039 039 641 597 FCFA in 2025” reports the Committee on Finance and Budgetary Control.

The department records a decrease of 7,484,112,793 FCFA in absolute value, corresponding to 19% in relative value. According to the minister, this decrease through the completion of projects financed from resources exteriors. The Fisheries and Aquaculture programs (11 530 322 048 FCFA) as well as that the one dedicated to the Maritime Economy (14 249 302 219 FCFA) will be held at the during this fiscal year.
