The latter has been the subject of an agreement between AFG and the Gabonese Fund for Strategic Investments.
Atlantic Financial Group is the financial holding company of Atlantic Group, founded by Mr Koné Dossongui, with activities in the Banking and Insurance sectors. AFG enjoys a proven track record in the takeover and management of banking subsidiaries, including the successful takeover of the former CIC and Barclays in Côte d'Ivoire and recently in Cameroon of the former Amity Bank – now Banque Atlantique Cameroun – which generated in 2019 a net profit of more than €10.8 million.
After its gradual withdrawal from Atlantic Business International (ABI), AFG confirms its desire to consolidate its presence in Central Africa and to redeploy to West Africa and the Indian Ocean, with a new digital service offering capitalizing on the group's experience in technology. With these acquisitions, the AFG Group now owns 4 banks and 4 insurance companies. For the completion of these transactions, Atlantic Financial Group was advised by Finactu International and the law firm Viguié Schmidt & Associés.
