On June 4, Côte d'Ivoire received a sum of 75.435 billion FCFA. It was a payment from the Islamic Development Bank (Bid) as part of the construction of a new university in Odienné.

The Ivorian government spokesperson stresses that the construction is planned on an area of 83,000 m², including several blocks. In a message sent on Wednesday, August 3, 2022 in Abidjan-Plateau, he said: “Planned over an area of 83,000 m², with teaching blocks, administrative blocks, hostels and an internal transport system. “According to him, this university will intervene especially in the fields of veterinary sciences, business techniques and management. The project aims to strengthen the development of human capital and the national economy by improving access to higher education and scientific research.
