Commerce, Industry and Crafts, at the launch of a platform
digitized for the request for a certificate of exemption from tax on
value added (VAT), stock exchange tax (TOB) as well as
customs duties and taxes applicable to energy equipment
renewables.
During the launch ceremony, the Director
General of Energy, Ehouman Kalifa, conveyed warm greetings
from the member of the Minister of Mines, Petroleum and Energy, Mamadou Sangafowa-Coulibaly ,
to the participants, while stressing the strategic importance of this reform.
This initiation is fully in line with the dynamic of modernization of
the Ivorian public administration and in the acceleration of energy transition national,
according to Ehouman Kalifa. For the latter, Côte d'Ivoire is committed
resolutely in the fight against climate change and the promotion of a
sustainable development.
The country aims to increase the share of energies
renewable to 45% of the electricity mix by 2030, while strengthening
energy efficiency. To achieve these goals, it is essential to
create an incentive, attractive and secure environment for investors
and economic operators in the sector.
The digitized platform is thus a major advance in the digital transformation of the energy administration. It has several essential objectives: simplify administrative procedures, reduce processing times for requests, strengthen the transparency and traceability of procedures, secure the examination of cases and sustainably improve the business climate.
