The Electricity Regulatory Commission of Nepal (nerc ) approved the decision of the Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) concerning the dispute over the rates of dedicated lines and lines main ones.

NERC “ Bookman Old Style”, Serif">The Commission refused to issue an interim order after hearing Panchakanya's complaint Plastic Industries Pvt Ltd and Panchakanya Steel. This confirms the decision of the NEA to increase the amount due for the use of electricity. To note that the NEA has recently reduced the supply of electricity to industries on 21 and 22 October by giving an ultimatum of 21 days. The Commission has approved the NEA's decision to reduce supply by invoking a legal provision authorizing measures when tariff duties are not not paid within the time limit.

The Commission held a hearing concerning complaints from two industries. These two companies have been protesting for a long time a reluctance to pay rates for electricity delivered by lines dedicated and a main line from the NEA.
