With the collaboration of the Association of electrical and licensed contractors from Nigeria, Ikeja Electric Plc has trained more than 100 young electricians and field technicians at the procedures of safety, risk management and industry standards within the framework efforts to improve professionalism in the sector of energy.

The program for building the capacity of a day, organized on Tuesday in Lagos and entitled “Electrical safety and better practices in the electrical industry”, focused on sessions practices covering installation standards, energy integration alternative and emerging technologies in energy distribution.

The president of LECAN of Lagos State, Bada Waheed said the initiative highlights the importance of collaboration. between public service companies and professional associations to promote safety and efficiency.

For his part, the communications director Ikeja Electric corporate officer, Mr. Kingsley Okotie, said that the company had identified knowledge and safety gaps among technicians, which motivated the collaboration.
