The Professional Association of Decentralized Financial Systems of Côte d'Ivoire (Apsfd-CI) reassures about the good performance of the microfinance sector in Côte d'Ivoire. During the launch of the National Microfinance Days, Thursday, March 5, in Abidjan, the vice president of this association, Hélène Diarra, indicated that in 2018, Sfds approved and listed by the General Directorate of the Treasury and Accounting (DGCTP), mobilized as savings 291.1 billion CFA francs.

In addition, the testimony that microfinance is a powerful development tool for populations excluded from the traditional banking system is also manifested through loans. Indeed, in 2018, the microfinance sector granted 306.5 billion CFA francs of loans and directly reached 1,727,189 customers. "In view of the specificity of its target and the nature of the financial services it offers, microfinance demonstrates that it remains an effective instrument for economic and social promotion, financial inclusion of low-income populations", underlined Hélène Diarra.

But, within the framework of the improvement of the living conditions of the customers and for a real contribution to the reduction of poverty, the Apsfd prepares for the National days of the microfinance which will take place on April 7 and 8. For the organizers, the objective is to raise awareness among the public and stakeholders on the challenges of microfinance in the socio-economic development of the country.
