Last Thursday, December 4, a total of 31 workers of the Ivorian Refining Company (SIR) and the Company Multinational Bitumen Company (SMB) were rewarded in Abidjan with the medal of honor of work.

The Minister of Employment and Social Protection, Me Adama Kamara, honored his workers for their seniority, the quality of their professional initiatives and their efforts to improve their qualifications. Recipients, whose seniority varies between 15 and more than 35 years old, received Silver, Vermeil, Gold and Grand Gold medals.

Three agents with over 35 years of service were decorated with the Grand Gold medal; eight others, combining 30 years of service, received the Gold Medal; ten agents with 25 years of experience have were honored with the Vermeil Medal, while ten others, with 15 years of service, were awarded the Silver Medal.

Me Adama Kamara said that “this medal is the visible testimony of your exceptional contribution. Wear it with legitimate pride. You are taking on a new responsibility: that of being models and landmarks. Your journey should serve as a compass for generations futures”.

The minister also invited the medalists to pass on to their colleagues and young people professionals the taste for effort, the sense of duty, the love of good work done. He reminded the youngest that these medalists demonstrate that perseverance, competence and loyalty are values that lead to success.
