Last week, Liberia officially launched a roadmap to guide its digital transformation until 2029. The objective is to build a more inclusive, secure digital ecosystem and innovative, for the benefit of all Liberians.

Liberia's strategy is focused according to the Authority Liberian Telecommunications Authority (LTA), on eight priority areas, including universal connectivity, digital inclusion, addressing National digital and postal reform, cybersecurity and sovereignty data, e-government and innovation in ICT. These priorities are structured around four strategic pillars in order to guarantee measurable and participatory results.

According to the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications in a press release published on Monday, February 2, “the axes aim to generate concrete and inclusive benefits, by supporting economic growth, by improving the provision of public services, by promoting the creation of jobs and by reducing the digital divide, in particular for the benefit of areas rural and marginalized communities.”
