periodic conferences organized by the Rotary Club Abidjan Ivoire, urged investment in
bourse.
"It's safe, productive and profitable savings," he said. It was Thursday, January 16, at the Sofitel Abidjan
hotel Ivoire, in Cocody.
On this occasion, he gave a lecture on the theme: "The stock market, a long-term savings instrument
and accelerating economic growth."
According to the speaker, the stock market is an instrument for capturing savings for reinvestment in
the economy.
This takes place through two modes, he said: the purchase of shares and the bond issue. He said that
in recent years, the Brvm has achieved good results, but, he noted, this does not impact
sufficient evolution of the indices.
However, he expressed his optimism for the decade ahead. He announced the imminent launch of a
Web Tv to meet the challenges facing Brvm.
For him, it is necessary to facilitate the access of SMEs to the stock exchange, while increasing the number of listed companies (46
currently). Looking to the future, he explained that stock market practice will inevitably be influenced by
the digital.
Dr. Edoh Kossi Amenounvé is the third guest of rotary Club Ivoire conferences, after the former
Director of Mtn Freddy Tchalla and the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Morocco to Côte d'Ivoire, Abdelmalek
Kettani.
