The dollar gained 0.5%, an annual record against the euro which is at 1.1850. And currency traders expect a very 'dove' communication from the ECB this Thursday, Christine Lagarde should be keen to allay fears of repentance of the yield curve in Europe. The Euro is still sinking -0.5% against the Dollar which sets a new annual record at 1.1850. The European currency is pushing the support of 1.193/E which dated back to mid-August and early September. The Dollar obviously continues to benefit from the sharp increase in its remuneration (+6Pts to 1.612%), in absolute as well as in relative against the Euro, as well as against the Yen or the Swiss Franc (it also gains 0.5% to 108.9/JPY and 93.5ChF respectively). The market will take note of the latest eurozone GDP figures for the fourth quarter and then the inflation data in the United States.
