The dollar continued to fall against the euro, weighed down by inflation data from the past few days, while the South African rand is rising.
Around 09:15 GMT (11:15 CET), the greenback fell 0.14% to 1.1062 dollars per euro after falling to 1.1076 dollars, the lowest since early April 2022. Against the pound, it recovered 0.10% to 1.2511 dollars per pound after falling to 1.2546 dollars, the lowest since June 2022.
The rand traded at 18.0150 against the dollar at 06:30 GMT, up about 0.2% from its closing level on Thursday and bringing gains since the end of last week to over 0.7%.
