The pound was up 0.2% against the dollar at $1,2507 at 1040 GMT. It was down 0.1% against the euro to 88.10 pence. The upward revision in January growth from 0.3% to 0.4% means Britain is likely to avoid the first-quarter contraction that the Bank of England predicted last month, but the data expected next week is seen as more important for monetary policy.
