Several billion CFA francs have been embezzled in a case of Braderie of administrative buildings in Mali. Public buildings were fraudulently appraised and then sold at low prices to certain economic operators.

The explanations of the Minister of Culture, Dramé Kadiatou Konaré, last week before the CNT lift a corner of the veil on the many embezzlement of public funds resulting from the sale of real estate of the State.
27 buildings sold off and then often rented to the State which happens to be the seller. The selling prices of the public buildings concerned are four times lower than the actual value of those buildings.

The buildings most cited in these transactions are the former Ministry of Social Development, presumed sold for more than one billion four hundred million, the building housing the agency for the development of the management of industrial zones, the buildings of the Regional Directorate of Trade of Bamako, the Directorate of Social Affairs, the Directorate of Employment, Labour and Social Security of Bamako.
