The Economic and Financial Criminal Division Court (PPEF) delivered on Tuesday, February 3, 2026, in Côte d'Ivoire, its verdict in the embezzlement case. It involves the Société Nationale d'Édition Administrative and Identification Documents (Snedai).

The Administrative and Financial Director (CFO) and four other persons were being prosecuted for criminal conspiracy, forgery and use of forgeries in business or bank writing, money laundering capital and complicity in the abuse of social assets. An arrest warrant has been issued against the DAF, currently at large. Three of the defendants were acquitted, while the fourth is said to have died. The DAF was sentenced to 7 years in prison closed and fined 5.538 billion FCFA. It has also been deprived of civil and political rights for three years, prohibited from exercising any public service, as well as writing checks or using credit cards for five years.
