.The review of the portfolio of projects financed by the Bank, which ended on 13 July 2023, showed that the performance, although still weak, has begun to trend upward. The rate of financial instruments on red alert fell compared to that in September 2022, when the portfolio's performance was last reviewed. It went from 93% at the end of September 2022 to 60% at the end of May 2023 (against an institutional objective of 20%)”.

.Since its first operation in Mali was approved on 4 June 1970, the African Development Bank Group has granted 117 loans and grants to the country covering all socio-economic sectors, for a cumulative amount of approximately 1,274 billion CFA francs (1.94 billion euros). “At the end of June 2023, the Bank Group's active portfolio in Mali included 23 operations worth 422 billion CFA francs (643 million euros). The projects cover transport (33.8%), agriculture (30%), energy (11.2%), water and sanitation (9.5%), finance (4%), governance (4.8%), climate change (3.8%), and social (2.9%),” the
statement said.
