Bitcoin fell 7.9% to $34,324, its lowest level since Jan. 24, and traded down 4.5%. Smaller coins that typically move in tandem with bitcoin also fell, with ether losing as much as 10.8%. Elsewhere, global equities and US bond yields plunged, while the dollar, gold and oil soared as investors flocked to assets seen as safe havens. European stocks alone plunged 2.6%.
