"Under the Ministry of Communication and Media in liaison with the ministries concerned, the council adopted two decrees. The first decree caps the price of digital terrestrial television (DTT) reception equipment.

In line with the ordinance granting exemption from customs duties and VAT on the equipment necessary for the reception of the DTT signal, this decree sets the amounts above which the entry-level DTT reception kits do not can be sold to the people,” said government spokesman Sidi Touré yesterday during the traditional press briefing after the council.

After half an hour of conclave, the members of the government, with their head the Head of State, Alassane Ouattara, took many decisions. Thus, according to Sidi Touré, in the context of migration to Tnt, the price of the entry-level Mpeg4 and Dvbt2 decoder is fixed at 10 thousand CFA francs and the Uahf antenna at 6 thousand CFA francs.

Continuing, the Minister of Communication indicated that under the Ministry of Construction, Housing and Urban Planning, in liaison with the ministries concerned, the council adopted a decree declaring the public utility of a plot of land with an area of six hectares, one are, 71 centiares, located in Yapokoi in the commune of Anyama.

"This decree comes in anticipation of the construction by the company Côte d'Ivoire Energie on the above-mentioned plot of land of a 225 kilovolt electrical transformer station with a view to strengthening the supply of electricity in the municipalities of Abobo and Anyama,” explained the government spokesperson.

Addressing the issue of spoiled rice recently unloaded at the Autonomous Port of Abidjan, Sidi Touré explained that as of May 14, 2019, of the 18,000 tons of spoiled rice, 10,708 tons have been completely destroyed.

“Today, the public prosecutor received the conclusions of the investigation. We will be informed in the coming days,” said the government spokesperson.

In addition, Sidi Touré indicated that the council adopted a decree declaring public utility of the site of the dry port project of Ferké with an area of 732 hectares 45 ares 76 ca located in the municipality of Ferké.

“This decree comes within the framework of the start of the works of the said port which will make it possible to create an economic zone of development in the north of the country in order to highlight the economic potentialities of the districts of Savane and Zanzan and to take better advantage of those of the border regions of Sikasso in Mali and Bobodioulasso in Burkina Faso” justified the government spokesperson.

According to him, the general objective given to the dry port of Ferké is to optimize supply circuits in this area of the country.

"Identified at about 4 kilometers on the Ferké-Ouangolo axis, this dry port will be developed by a Chinese company, the project will include three components, port and storage services, fuel depots, a complex integrating livestock, a slaughterhouse...” concluded Sidi Touré.
