Ivorian financier Mamadou Kouyaté, Managing Partner of Jely Group, joins the Board of Directors
of the insurer Génération Nouvelle d'Assurances – Côte d'Ivoire (GNA CI) following a General Assembly
held on Tuesday, January 14, 2020 at the headquarters of the said company in Abidjan.
This appointment is the logical continuation of the collaboration between the two institutions. Indeed, Jely Group has
supported the insurance company in the recruitment of its senior executives, the strengthening of
its governance and fundraising having made it possible to increase its share capital to 6.5 billion FCFA
(approximately US$11 million).
Background
A graduate of Paris Dauphine University and the London School of Economics, Mamadou Kouyaté started
his career in 2008 at Deloitte in Paris as an auditor in the Financial Services Industry
in which he manages audit engagements on behalf of clients such as Morgan Stanley, BNP Paribas
and Societe Generale.
In 2011, he joined the Transaction Services department as Manager and led
acquisition and disposal missions of insurance companies and banking groups in Europe, Asia
and South America.
His African career began in 2013 with the pan from which it covers West and Central Africa. In 2016, he took up his position in the
sub-regional private equity firm Cauris Management as Investment Director and
Country Manager for Côte d'Ivoire.
During these years in the world of private equity, he worked on major files
such as MTN Côte d'Ivoire, the Atlantic group or the Teyliom group on behalf of institutions
international such as the International Finance Corporation of the World Bank Group (IFC), the Corporation
Dutch Development Finance (FMO), the Development Finance Institution of
United Kingdom (CDC), AFD's subsidiary (Proparco), etc...

Associative activities
In addition, he has more than fifteen years of associative experience and has to his credit the creation of
several associations working for the promotion of cultural diversity, private initiative and integration
youth professional through conferences and cultural events with renowned guests such as
than the late Michel Rocard, Abdoulaye Wade, Amadou Raimi or Lionel Zinsou. It is now
President of Expérience Pour Tous, a foundation that works free of charge for the professional integration of
young Ivorians.
