According to the Minister of Budget and State Portfolio, Moussa Sanogo, the cost of tax measures since the advent of COVID-19 in Côte d'Ivoire is estimated at 107.4 billion  CFA francs or 164 million euros.

These measures concern, inter alia  , the temporary suspension of the payment of certain taxes, the total exemption or partial reduction of taxes and the admission of expenses incurred in the fight against the pandemic, in particular with regard to strengthening the healthcare system and the supply of medicines. and protective equipment.

Regarding the exemption from  customs duties and taxes on health equipment, materials and other health inputs in the context of the fight against Covid-19, the Minister of the Budget, who was before the senators put forward an amount between 4.5 and 9.6 billion CFA francs. of importers, they relate to the goods concerned. That is to say, mainly goods that fall within the framework of the fight against Covid-19 or are related to health issues, "he  wanted to clarify.
