The Ministry of Economy and Finance informs in a report that the turnover of mobile telephony in Côte d'Ivoire, stood at 910.8 billion FCFA at the end of December 2020 against 828.5 billion FCFA over the same period in 2019, up 82.3 billion CFA francs or 9.9%. The increase in mobile telephony turnover is linked to the "popularization of teleworking which has led to a strong use of internet service and call volume in connection with compliance with the social distancing measures imposed by the government as part of the fight against Covid-19".

The report mentions that the telecommunications sector recorded in 2020, "a performance marked by the dynamism of the overall turnover and the volume of communication in relation to the continuation of the investments made" as well as a "stronger use of services".

The Ministry of the Economy indicates, however, that the report points out that at the level of fixed telephony, "the number of subscriptions (-1.4%) and turnover (-6.6%) have both declined."
