German of Economic Cooperation and Development Gerd Müller met with President Faure Gnassingbé. The exchanges will allow the two countries to consolidate their partnership.

In addition to signing the Joint Declaration of Intent of the Partnership for Reforms, the German cooperation GIZ has handed over a series of equipment to agricultural cooperatives worth FCFA 100 million according to Togo News, including motor pumps, electric shredders, electronic scales, tricycles, etc. This is part of the German program for rural development and agriculture in Togo (ProDRA) with as targeted products organic coffee and cocoa, vegetables, fruits and spices. ProDRA is scheduled to end in January 2023. The total investment amounts to € 21.2 million, of which € 16.5 million comes from Germany and the balance from the European Union.

The German minister also launched the construction of a vocational training school at the Adétikopé industrial platform (PIA) inaugurated on June 6 by President Faure Gnassingbé but which is already functioning.
