On Wednesday, December 10, 2025, in Dakar, investors from the United Arab Emirates signed with managers of Senegalese national corporations 11 partnership agreements. The ceremony of signing of the agreements took place at the Mamadou-Dia Administrative Building, in presence of the Prime Minister of Senegal, Ousmane Sonko, and a delegation Emirati led by Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, the Minister of Commerce outside of this Middle Eastern country.

Several contracts have been signed by the Network Gazier du Senegal and Equiline Energies, a specialized Emirati company in the exploitation of gas. The fields of energy, mining, agriculture, health, digital and infrastructure are the concerned by the partnership.

In the energy sector, the Company National Electricity Company of Senegal has signed a partnership agreement with Global South Utilities Power Investment to build a photovoltaic power plant in renewable energies.

On Mines, The Iron Mining Society of Senegal Oriental and the Société des Mines du Sénégal (SOMISEN) have signed a partnership agreement with Ressources Investment, an Emirati company, for the implementation of an infrastructure development project logistics and Senegalese iron mines.

Other agreements have been signed for the creation of a trading post for Senegalese gold and construction of a fertilizer production unit using Senegalese phosphates.

SOMISEN has also signed an agreement with the National Procurement Pharmacy and Exim Finance for the construction of a factory specializing in the manufacture of drugs generics in Senegal.

According to the minister Senegalese in charge of Finance and Budget, Cheikh Diba, the agreements signed will “strengthen foreign direct investment and to accelerate the implementation of Senegal's strategic priority projects, within the framework of the National Transformation Agenda”, the program national development program implemented by the Senegalese government
