The head of Togolese diplomacy, Robert Dussey announces the opening of the Moroccan embassy in Lomé soon. The news was announced after a videoconference interview with his Moroccan counterpart, Nasser Bourita.
 
In addition to having announced the increase from 70 to 100 of the annual quota of Togolese scholarship holders in Morocco, the two countries plan to open the Moroccan embassy in Togo. It must be said that the two partners have come closer in recent years, thanks to the diplomatic offensive led by Rabat in West Africa since the second half of the 2010s (wanting in particular to integrate ECOWAS).

Indeed, since 2011, the kingdom has had one of the most efficient economic and social councils in Africa. In March 2021, during a working visit to the Togolese capital, the Cherifian kingdom undertook to support the process through the expertise of its Economic, Social and Environmental Council (CESE), which also chairs the Union Economic and Social Councils and Similar Institutions of Africa (UCESA).
