In 2015, MSC obtained the concession for the Container Terminal of the Port of San-Pedro, for a period of 35 years. 6 years later, work on this book has not yet started.

The prerequisite for starting the construction of the Container Terminal of the Port of San-Pedro, is that the port authority has finalized its financial file on the part which is due to it. Which was not to believe the words of David El-Bez, Director of Terminal investment limited, (TIL).
“Since the preliminary dredging works of the first phase of the works are carried out by the port authority, we as investors, we intervene on what is called, the last put. All the surfacing, all the last structures of the future terminal, but we won't be able to do that until the Port has started its work. We have fallen behind in the program, but that has not undermined our confidence, our commitment to this project. We maintain our confidence with the port authorities, the authorities of Côte d'Ivoire to carry out our financing agreement as soon as possible so that we are in the heart of the matter, "he explained.
As a reminder, MSC invested 12 billion FCFA in 2020 for this extremely large project.
