Ivory Coast has launched the construction of the Kong photovoltaic power plant with an estimated cost of 37 billion FCFA (more than 65 million USD).

The Kong solar project reinforces a national dynamic already welcomed by the International Energy Agency. Ce 50 MW project equipped with 88,000 panels must produce enough of electricity to supply around 380,000 households. The infrastructure located on 80 hectares in the Tchologo region in the North of the country, is scheduled to be completed and put into service in the first quarter of 2027.
