This Sunday, July 17, 2022, was opened at the Abdou Diouf International Conference Center of Diamniadio (CICAD) in Dakar, the 20th Congress of the Association of National Electricity Companies of Africa (ASEA).

Speeches focused on the need for performance of the continent's power companies and handing over the baton between Victor Mulenga Mundende and the Director General of SENELEC, Papa Mademba Bitèye who is now the new president of ASEA. These are the activities that have furnished this conference. Coinciding with the 50th anniversary of ASEA, this meeting will take place through panels, symposia and conferences on the following themes Acceleration of access to electricity for populations in rural and peri-urban areas, the digitalization of electricity companies for a better quality of service to users, the promotion of the of service to users, promoting the sharing of best practices among stakeholders in the electricity sector, energy efficiency, a lever to improve the viability of electricity companies. This congress is scheduled to last three days.
