Deputyes and senators met this Monday, August 16, 2021 in Brazzaville, around an awareness workshop and the fight against money laundering and the financing of terrorism. The workshop was organized by the National Agency for Financial Investigation (ANIF).

Chaired by the Minister of Finance, Budget and Public Portfolio, Rigobert Roger Andely, the meeting benefits from the technical support of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Terrorism (UNODC). Thus, the experts of the National Agency for Financial Investigation will educate parliamentarians on the harms of money laundering, the financing of terrorism and the proliferation of small arms. A dangerous and destructive phenomenon that affects several countries around the world. Awareness-raising will be followed by a training seminar scheduled for 16 to 19 August, for the attention of the authorities specialized in investigation, criminal prosecution, as well as those responsible for the application of the related law on money-laundering, the financing of terrorism and the proliferation of mass weapons. Recall that anif was created by Decree No. 2008-64 of 31 March 2008. Led by André Kanga, the structure's mission is to receive, analyze and process financial information with a view to its transmission to the judicial authority for possible prosecution.
