BAE Systems announces the launch of “Launchpad”. It is a technological incubation program aimed at taking dual-use innovations from prototype to that of viable commercial enterprises, beyond the sole sector of defense.

BAE Systems sets up an incubation program designed to transform defence innovations into start-ups independent, with a first application in energy. The initiative is part of the priorities of the industrial strategy for the defense of United Kingdom, which calls for continuous innovation and more spin-offs derived from technologies developed locally. The program aims to support the economic growth, strengthen sovereign capacities and provide young people businesses greater access to civil markets such as energy or advanced manufacturing.
