Among other things, it will be a question of applying the reforms undertaken in this sector, in particular the increase in the share capital to 3 billion FCFA from May 2019 and whose delay in the implementation of this measure can be seen.
In all likelihood, one of the thorniest issues will undoubtedly be the increase in share capital to 5 billion FCFA from May 2021, especially since insurance companies are seriously impacted by the health crisis related to COVID-19. According to sources, some insurance companies are in favor of maintaining the share capital at 3 billion "pending the evolution of activities over the next two years".
