Karim Diarassouba succeeds Jean-Baptiste Kouamé who is coming to the end of his second term at the head of CICA-Re. It was the 134th session of its Board of Directors that made it possible to elect the new Director.

At the end of the 134th session of its Board of Directors held on 13 August 2020, the Reinsurance Company of the Member States of the Inter-African Conference of Insurance Markets (CICA-Re) elected Karim Diarassouba as Managing Director.
The appointment took effect on January 4, 2021. The handover ceremony between the Directors General (outgoing and incoming) will take place on 1 April 2021 in Lomé, Togo. The event will be chaired by Olivier Mebiame Assame, Chairman of the Board of Directors of CICA-Re.
Due to the health situation, the insurance companies of the Member States will be represented by the president of their respective associations. However, those wishing to participate in the event can follow the event in virtual mode.
