The Commission of the Economic Community of States of West Africa (ECOWAS) submitted to the annual accountability exercise on 5 December 2025. The Chairman of the Commission, H.E. Dr. Oumar Alieu Touray, introduced the report Annual report 2025 on the state of the Community before the sixth legislature of ECOWAS Parliament, chaired by H.E. Ms. Maimounatou Ibrahima, during a session held in Abuja.

The 2025 report offered a comprehensive overview of developments, emphasizing a double face: notable advances in economic integration and continued pressure in the face of critical challenges regional stability. The Health Sector Publique saw the establishment of strengthened regional mechanisms for disease surveillance and pandemic preparedness, an achievement essential in a post-crisis world.

Finally, the Humanitarian Aid was detailed, testifying to the capacity of ECOWAS to mobilize resources to help populations displaced or affected by crises, emphasizing solidarity active and growing regional.

Transparency and Parliament's Call for Action

The members of the sixth legislature emphasized the need for greater transparency and accountability in the implementation of works on regional policies.
