The Burkinabè government has given its agreement to several state companies to take shares in the share capital of the Postal Bank of Burkina (BPSBF) which will thus see the light of day very soon. Thus, the Burkinabè National Lottery (LONAB) entered the share capital of the Postal Bank of Burkina Faso (BPBF) for an amount of 1.2 billion FCFA.

  Meeting in the Council of Ministers, the government adopted a decree which allows LONAB to participate in the share capital of BPBF for an amount of 1.2 billion FCFA, or 8% of the shares in accordance with the provisions of the law on general regulation of companies with public capital.
The postal bank will be majority owned by La Poste BF, which has a 51% stake in the share capital of Banque Postale du Burkina Faso, estimated at CFAF 15 billion. This stake in the share capital of Banque Postale du Burkina Faso will enable LA POSTE BF to expand the current offer of postal financial services and improve the financial inclusion of the population, according to the government.
